Security first, in the product
We treat cryptography, Apple’s platform security, and server rules as one system. A feature that looks good in a demo but fails under pressure does not ship.
About
Novash exists because a password manager should be calm, fast, and built on cryptography anyone can look up. No noise, no tricks, and no readable copy of your keys on our side.
What we believe
The best password manager is the one people actually use—every day—on the devices they already own. That is the bar we ship against.
Mission
Most breaches are not movie-style “hacking.” They are reused passwords, phishing, and small mistakes at scale. Novash makes unique, strong passwords easy to create, easy to store, and easy to fill, without asking you to become a security engineer.
We are not here to scare you with red banners. We build a vault that is as serious as the data it holds: modern encryption on your device, a second step at sign-in, and strict rules on our servers.
If you want the deep technical story, start with Security. If you want plain-language answers, see FAQ.
Principles
These are not poster slogans. They are constraints we use when deciding what ships.
We treat cryptography, Apple’s platform security, and server rules as one system. A feature that looks good in a demo but fails under pressure does not ship.
People use password managers on crowded trains, in bed, and at work. If it feels fragile, slow, or judgmental, they quit and go back to sticky notes.
We describe what we can prove, such as AES-256-GCM, Argon2id, and strict database rules, instead of calling anything “unhackable.”
Your vault is encrypted on your device, and the keys stay with you. That is a rule we design around, not a slogan.
You deserve to know what is encrypted, what syncs, and what we can never see. That is why our Security page names the exact algorithms and settings, in plain words.
Alarming screens train people to click through warnings. Novash aims for clarity: predictable steps, readable text, and motion that respects your reduced-motion setting.
Novash gets better when people tell us about rough edges, when researchers report issues responsibly, and when we keep raising the bar on clarity instead of hype.
